WHEN you read 16, from time to time at the end of Gee-Gee's column there is mention of "The Word." As you all probably know by now, "The Word" is love!
    The expression "The Word" started with the song of the same name - which was recorded by the Beatles and written by Paul McCartney. In fact, it's one of Paul's favorite tunes - and mine too!
    Now that we all know what "The Word" is, I want to tell you what all this means - for it's the greatest lesson I have ever learned. You see, love can solve any problem, can give you happiness, can make you free from worry, and can free you to do all the things you really want to do in this life. Here's the way it works:
    First, you take a positive attitude toward everything, because love is positive. Instead of seeing another person's bad points, you see their good points. Instead of listening to bad gossip, you listen to good words. Instead of putting other people down, you say positive nice things about them (and there is something nice to be said about every single person on this earth). What will happen after a while is that you will start seeing the loving, happy, bright side of everything around you - whether it's people, nature or events - you'll find that you will start smiling more often and laughing more often - you'll find yourself growing happier and happier each day, because you are living with warmth, positiveness, goodness and love. The Word is the way - it says that in the Bible, so let The Word be part of your everyday life from now on.
    The second love lesson I would like to pass on to you is the power of using the word yes. In the end, the answer to all serious and meaningful questions is yes. If someone asks you for something (even if it's something you cherish and want to keep), try to give it to them - try to say yes. If someone asks you for help, answer yes. If someone wants to know if they are O.K., or all right, tell them yes.
    All of this may seem a bit abstract and philosophical, but what I am saying, very simply, is - if you go through life loving people and giving them all that you possibly can, love will come to you from every direction, and it will stay with you forever.
