HULLO! 'Tis I, Peter Noone - and I'd like you to meet a very good friend of mine by the name of Graham Gouldman. If you have all of me records, you've no doubt seen Graham's name before. You see, he's written quite a few of the tunes the Hermits and I have recorded, such as No Milk Today, Listen People (the first song he ever wrote) and East West (my particular favorite). Graham is also responsible for such great songs as Bus Stop, For Your Love, Look Through Any Window, Heartful of Soul and loads more hits he penned for many of your fave artists. He's a fantastically talented writer and his lyrics are always extra-special.
Well - that's the side of Graham you've already been introduced to. But Graham recently became a recording artist in his own right. And you'll never guess who instigated the whole thing! Yup, you're absolutely correct - I did! One day Graham and I were discussing music and different arrangements of his songs. We had some new ideas to re-do some of his biggest hits. When Graham started to demonstrate one of the thoughts on his mind by singing - I got the idea that he should do an album and record the tunes himself! Graham was kind of shy at first, but I got all me buddies to help me convince him - so off to the recording studio we went.
Actually, Graham started in the music business playing lead guitar and singing with a group when he was 15 years old (he's now 21). He eventually gave up the group to concentrate on his writing. But now that he's established himself in that phase of the business - he's ready to sing again! Graham and I co-produced the session and the results are his first single The Impossible Years, and his first LP The Graham Gouldman Thing, both on the RCA

label. We had loads of fun doing it - and I sincerely hope that you'll give them a listen and let us know what you think. By the way, just about the time you read this, Graham and I will be back in the States on a promo tour for his album. I hope we'll get to visit your town.
Oh - I nearly forgot to give you a brief rundown on Graham's vital statistics. But I wouldn't let you down, so here goes: Graham was born in Manchester (just like me and the Hermits), England, on May 10, 1946. He is six feet tall and weighs 140 pounds and he has dark brown hair and brown eyes. His favorite recording artists include the Beatles, Aretha Franklin and Tom Jones. Graham loves to go swimming and driving, and he's attracted to girls who are feminine and intelligent.
It's been fun chatting with you. Before I go, I want to tell you one more secret - which is also a venture Graham and I are involved together. We've decided to open a boutique in New York City! The store will sell only British clothing, which will be shipped over from England. They're fantastic clothes, and I can't wait to show them to you. Although we haven't found the exact location yet, we plan to call our shop "The Zoo." We're looking forward to the grand opening, and I promise to tell you 16-ers more about it real soon. In the meantime, thanks for all of the wonderful letters! Loads and loads of luv to each and every one of you.
All of you Herman-luvvers go to the next page. Cos now it's Graham's turn to talk about Peter!
