 Peter Noone first met a beautiful, blonde French girl named Mireille Strasser at a party in London in March, 1968. They started going steady in June, and by November of that year - they were man and wife! The last of the Hermits to marry, Peter was more surprised than anyone else when he proposed. However, in his own words Peter confesses, "Mireille's just everything I want. Marriage to me means that two people love each other so deeply, they know they're always going to feel the same." Mireille will travel with Peter as much as possible and they recently moved into their own apartment in London. |
  LEK & LEONIE Derek "Lek" Leckenby became officially engaged to Leonie Rosenbloom, his steady girl for some time, in April, 1968, and they were married in July - two months later. Leonie was a secretary before she became Mrs. Leckenby. Now, all of her time is devoted to Lek. In fact, part of their honeymoon was spent in America, cos soon after they were married the Hermits had to pack their bags for a concert tour in the United States - and Leonie joined them for part of the tour. |
 On March 17, 1967, bass guitarist Karl Green married his sweetheart Jill Davies, who was only 17 years old at the time. Karl was the first of the Hermits to wed. He first met Jill about three years ago, when they were on a tour of England together and Jill was a member of a girl's pop group called the Dollies. However, she gave up singing and is now happy being a housewife - namely, Mrs. Karl Green. |
 Soon after Karl's wedding, Keith Hopwood married pretty Penny Pagni. Herman introduced Keith to Penny and it was "love at first sight." Now they're the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy - Daxalen Kier Hopwood was born on July 5, 1968. Here, the proud mama and papa (who grew a beard while on holiday) show off their lovable bundle of joy. |
 Drummer Barry Whitwam married his long-time steady Dale Leckey in December, 1967. Dale, who was a nurse before becoming Mrs. Whitwam, also spent her honeymoon on tour with the Hermits. This time they were booked to tape a TV show in Miami Beach, Florida. Right now, Barry and Dale are decorating their new home, and by the time you read this - they will have welcomed their first baby! |
