![]() Producer Mickie Most was one of pop's biggest names in the 1970s. Most, who enjoyed travelling round London on his high-powered motorcycle, had made his name in the 1960s, first as a minor-selling artist, and then predominantly as manager of The Animals. His particular forte was selecting the right sng for his artists. It was Most who set Herman's Hermits on their way when he decided the relentlessly cheery "I'm Into Something Good" would be a perfect vehicle to promote Peter Noone as a dimple-cheeked teen favourite. He was able to create hits for often the most unlikely of stars, including Lulu and Terry Reid. |
