 WITH spring packages just under way, plans are now being made by various agents for autumn tours by British and American artistes - immigration permitting, that is. HERMAN'S HERMITS, who have come closest to lifting the top off the industry since THE BEATLES now have fresh dates added to their itinerary, and there are negotiations to bring them back again before Christmas. Herman's agent here, 26-year-old swingin' FRANK BARSALONA, has set three days for the group at the New York Paramount, for June 11 through 13. They come back to the country again on July 22 for a 14-day tour with WAYNE FONTANA AND THE MINDBENDERS, followed by three days at the Atlantic City Steel Pier, opening August 9. Everyone's fallen for Herman's personality, including book publishers, and there are plans to bring out the first American full sized fan book next month.  |
