 TRUST Peter Blair Noone to be just plain different! Herman's just back from a thirty-three day American tour. After the last date in Rhode Island, everyone wanted a big farewell scene. So Herman arranged . . . a water battle! Herman, the Hermits, and the rest of the tour had a whole floor in a hotel to themselves. They promised the hotel manager first that they would settle up for any damage they might cause, then everyone poured out on to the landing with their water pistols and the fun began. "We really enjoyed ourselves," Herman said when he arrived back here. "It was much better than a raving party, really spontaneous." And good on the hotel manager, we say, for being decent about harmless, if dampening fun. I can't imagine a hotel here allowing it, can you? |
