Herman rehearsing for a show on British TV

The biggest thing in the lives of Herman's Hermits started to happen on May 1st in London. That's when Peter and the fellows began to film the most important movie they've ever made, "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter!"
The importance of the movie - which (are you ready?) has to do with dog breeding!! - Is emphasized by the fact that Morton DaCosta, one of Hollywood's most famous directors, is directing the picture. Peter and the boys are very excited about the flick, and hope that it will work out as well as they hope. Shooting should take until about July 14th.
Then, on July 17th, The Hermits will arrive in the United States for their third summer tour. It will last a complete two months and will take the group into most of the big cities in the country and into three of the biggest State Fairs, as well. Fairs will be a new kick for the guys, and they can hardly wait. Peter has already put in his bid for a day's supply of cotton candy!
Meanwhile, back at home in England ... Peter finally found the home he spent months looking for! It's in the county of Kent, which is some of the most beautiful country in England and exactly where Pete hoped to find the house. The house is very large, very exciting and has a view to write poetry by!
His folks are living in it and if they like it as much as Peter thinks they will, then he'll buy it. Right now, they're living in it under a lease Pete signed with the right to buy the house if it is OK. Peter's one regret is that he probably won't have the chance to enjoy the house as often as he would like to.
Karl, of course, just got married. The lucky girl is Jill Davis, a lovely 19 year old singer. She has been singing with an all-girl group called "The Dollies," but she'll probably give up her singing career to start her life-time career as Mrs. Green! Karl had quietly been dating Jill for the past three years, and none of the Hermits were surprised when he turned out to be the first of them to take the plunge!
Peter still talks about his happy meeting with Monkee Micky. It came as a surprise to them both, and Peter found the Dolenz boy to be a generally great guy! Micky shared the feeling, and they'll try to see each other this summer. With all the traveling both of their groups will be doing, chances are good that the Hermits and The Monkees will cross paths.
Speaking of crossing paths, I hope to cross yours in the next issue of FLIP, which will be out on July 11th, when I'll have many more Herman happenings to flip about!
