Hullo, luvs - Herman here! You know I've been waiting to do this for a long time-fink on that other bloke Peter Noone, I mean! Y' see most people think he's the same as me but it's not so. In fact, sometimes I get the feeling that Peter would like to do away with me for good! I expect it's a bit frustrating be only got into the singing part of it by accident (but you know all about that) and he hasn't been able to do anything else since! That would bring a chap down a bit. He's a deep one, Peter is always thinking about things. Not like me I'm the happy one, y' know. I could go on singing and touring and performing and signing autographs for ever, and never give it a thought. Except to make sure the kids in the audience are having a good time that's important to me. But Peter would like to take time out and really see the places we've toured and meet the people. Or just to relax and sleep! Now. I'm never tired! Y' know, Peter doesn't mind at all that people want the Herman side of our character for now |
he'll go on being a pop star as long as they want us. But he says that nobody expects him to do it for. ever and when they don't he'll still be young enough to do lots of things. Maybe spend a week each at being a bus driver, a bar-man, a sailor or a clerk. He really did say that once! But I think Peter would most like to be a serious dramatic actor. He did start out as an actor, y' know, and has always liked it when the Hermits and I get to do a movie- it's him that does all my little acting bits in those. And every once in a while he goes off by himself to do a role on the telly. That's all right with me-keeps him happy, y' know, so when he's on stage being me (Herman, that is -is that confusing?) you can't really tell if it's him or me. Not even when we have to do "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Luvly," Etc. again . . . and again . . . and again . . ![]() The Hermits have a new wacky flick - MGM's Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter. |
