- An English school, the Manchester School of Music, is where Herman learned his do, re, me and certainly the love for music.
- Mickie Most is the name of Herman's Hermits' manager. Mickie is an astute record producer and is the one who is credited with taking them from the unknown status and building them into one of the world's great singing groups. They have as many as four records on the hit charts, which Mickie had helped pick for them.
- Their first hit record was a little number called, I'm Into Something Good. That launched them into the spotlight and world fame. They're certainly into something good now.
- Herman dislikes persons who don't like the boys' long hair. Wild crowds get him irritated and he tries to avoid them if he can.

- Lek likes the smooth ride of a jet as well as the speed of those space-age birds. Driving cars is his pet hobby, although he doesn't own one. His dream is to own a midnight blue Mustang. Hates trains and helicopters.

- Big crowds and bossy people are out with him, especially people who put down his group.
- He doesn't like people who pull his hair, or annoy him or the other boys when they have work to do. Polite people are also admired by him, as are people who are kind.

- When things go wrong with the act, he gets very irritated, but he realizes that you can't prevent every mishap so tries hard to take it in stride.
- Seeing cows gives him a comfortable feeling. He had a bird which he liked but it flew the coop recently and he hasn't seen his favorite birdie since.
- He likes old English inns and quaint houses in old English towns, and his big kick is to wake up after snow has fallen and look out of the window and see the picturesque scene.
