October 17, 1964:
    Herman's Hermits went to 13 with "I'm Into Something Good". The group was originally called The Heartbeats. They changed their name to the Hermits because it fit well with their leader's (Peter Noone) nickname "Herman". (He got that monicker from the Bullwinkle cartoon show's character Sherman.)
