Around and About brings the news and gossip from the show-biz scene

After years as simply HERMAN, PETER NOONE gets solo billing on Herman's Hermits' second Rak single "Lady Barbara", on RAK, 106. The song is particularly interesting as it is really two songs in one. Errol Brown and Tony Wilson of Hot Chocolate wrote part of the song, and the middle section comes from a million-selling Italian song "Lady Barbara", which has been the biggest hit there since "Volare". So it looks like another hit for Britain's most consistent hit-making outfit.

Lady Barbara
Words and Music by
Wilson, Brown, Bigazzi, Cavallaro

I used to think that I had ev'rything I need,
Then Lady Barbara you came along.
I never thought that I would want my life to change,
But, Lady Barbara, I was wrong.
How can we re-arrange my life if you want me to,
'Cause all I want is to spend my time doing things with you.

Chorus

If you want to change my life it's all right.
Please change my life, it's all right with me.
Lady Barbara come with me
To a place I know where we can be alone.
Lady Barbara, I'd like to make you mine,
Like the morning sun I'd like to see you shine.

I would like to think that you will always be with me,
But I'm not sure what's on your mind, I just hope it's me.

Chorus
