The All American Announces The Return of Herman's Hermits. KBTR Plans Gala Reception For Second Visit

The wonderful magic of the Colorado Mountains captures all who visit the Rockies, and the Hermits are no exception. Pictured here are (l-r) Keith, Lek, Herman, Barry and Karl, along with All Americans King George and Johnny.

AN ALL AMERICAN FOREVER, KBTR's King George dubs Herman an All American, and makes him a permanent citizen of Denver. Keith Hopwood in the background enjoys the royal festivities. The group will return to capture the memories they left in Denver last summer.
July 6 Set As Concert Date; Animals Also Booked On Tour

One of the world's greatest singing groups have announced their intentions to return to Mile High America. Herman's Hermits will be visiting Denver during early July, thru Ed Weimer Productions, just a little less than one year after their record breaking visit last August.
When KBTR first approached the group's management last summer, it didn't seem likely that the group would consider a Denver appearance, in view of the Beatles' failure to attract a sellout crowd during their Red Rocks show in 1964. However, through the efforts of KBTR, the Hermits were brought to Denver amid one of the greatest and most memory filled spectacles of this city's history.
Not only did the Hermits come to Denver, but every one of their fans filled D.U. Stadium, resulting in one of the largest crowds ever to attend a concert of any type in the Queen City.
On that August night, the Hermits drew one of the largest crowds on their entire tour, as KBTR presented England's International stars in a star-studded concert along with Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders. It was for this

festive occasion that KBTR unveiled, what has become one of the nation's greatest entertainment features, the All American Newspaper.
Herman and the boys were thrilled by their Denver reception, and were not hesitant to say that KBTR made August 4, 1965 one of the most enjoyable days of their entire career.
In view of their extremely successful concert, plus the fantastic day which the All Americans provided, which included a long horseback ride in the mountains, and the general warm reception the group received, they have decided that Denver will be a must on their long summer tour, which will originate in Honolulu.
In addition to the Hermits, another of England's best, the Animals, will be included in this year's attraction. The Animals have consistently been on the charts, and Herman himself has expressed enjoyment over the Animals' songs. Last year, when he was talking with the All Americans, he listed "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place," then the Animals' high flyer, and one of his favorites.
Site of the show, ticket prices and locations have yet to be determined. But the date of July 6 is sure to be one of the most exciting, as KBTR welcomes the return of Herman's Hermits!
