A visitor on Thursday (12-4-67) at the Spring Antiques Fair, Chelsea Old Town Hall, was pop star Herman of Herman's Hermits. After touring this fair and taking a keen interest in many of the antiques on display, a dress suit of the Louis Philippe period caught his eye. The suit, with velvet tail coat, breeches, waistcoat, cocked hat and sword with cut steel hilt was on sale for 75. Unfortunately for Herman it didn't quite fit. The shoes were too tight as were the breeches and tail coat. Herman is also on the lookout for a girlfriend, not to go steady with but one to play opposite him in the film he is about to star in, "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter." Also in the film will be Stanley Holloway and Robert Morley. They hope to start work on the film - a musical comedy - on May 7th.

Picture shows Herman wearing the dress suit and on the stand Herman's own clothes.
