Last time I saw Herman he was lamenting about his suits.     "No matter how much I pay," he said, "they never seem to look right on me. I always seem to crease them up. Also, I'm forever catching one of the pockets in a door handle and tearing it - or causing damage in some other crazy way."     But the other day Herman phoned more hopefully. Seems Dave Berry has dreamed up some ace designs which should "suit" Herman 100 per cent.     It doesn't crease - and it can't tear!

Herman's Hermits jumped from Number 18 to Number 9 with "A Must To Avoid." Herman, who last year sold more singles in America than the Beatles, is now preparing for further markets.     He is to record in French, and later this month leaves with the group to tour Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
