HERMITS TV DATES     Herman's Hermits have been lined up for a string of TV dates to promote their new single. They guest in BBC-1's "Top Of The Pops" (January 4), "all Systems Freeman" (5th), "Dee Time" (6th) and "Crackerjack" (12th). The group flew to America on Monday for U.S.-TV appearances, and is expected to return on January 2.     The Hermits' drummer Barry Whitwam married nurse Dale Leckie at Swinton last Saturday. Mrs. Whitwam is accompanying her husband on the group's current U.S. visit.

Herman stays in States HERMAN'S HERMITS, whose current American tour has been extended from August 24 until September 5 because of its success, make their cabaret debut when they launch a new nightclub, Middlesbrough Astoria, with a week's booking from November 17.     Group, currently enjoying their biggest British hit since "No Milk Today," also make a 10-day tour of American bases in Germany from September 20.
