Another title for Herman's Hermits' MGM film announced by producer Sam Katzman - "Hold On!"

HERMAN makes a big jump towards the top with this film title song, "A Must To Avoid."

Mr. Danny Betesh, a Manchester agent, has become a power on the American scene. In the past six months three of his acts have had No. 1 hits in the U.S. - Herman's Hermits, Freddie and The Dreamers, and Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders.

Favourite

Eighteen-year-old Herman is the U.S. teenagers' special darling. He has worked in America for 22 weeks in the past five and a half months. He earns £7,000 for each American performance. Freddie commands £2,000 a night.
There seems to be no saturation point. For only recently, the Yardbirds crashed into the American stakes.
The trend of buying British Beat is still growing. More pop singers are joining the high-earning travellers. Sandie Shaw, for instance, is booked for a two-and-a-half month European casino tour at £500 per night.
