Hermanacs Arise!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, is the big night in Sacramento - Herman's Hermits will be here for two big shows at the Memorial Auditorium. To tell you the truth I don't think anyone is as excited as I am. As you probably have guessed the KRO-Yize Guys will M.C. the shows. This means we have the pleasure of spending several hours with the boys from Manchester that evening. I gather from the phone calls I've had lately that many of you would like to trade places with us. I've had several dozen girls offer several dozen reasons why they should accompany the D.J.s backstage. I've heard everything from ... "I'll bake him a gigantic cake," to "I promise not to scream or hurt him, I love him."
NOW, even though you can't come backstage with me, maybe you can be of some help. What does one say to someone as successful as Herman? Upon being introduced to the group is it proper to say, "Hello Herman, Hello Mr. Hermit, Mr. Hermit, Mr. Hermit, Mr. Hermit?" Or how about, "Nice to meet you guys, how long have you been living alone together?" "Tell me Hermits, are your accommodations okay, or would you like to move to another cave?" And I'm sure this line would be good for about five seconds of sparkling conversation. "In your travels as the Hermits how many HIMits have you met?"
NEEDLESS TO SAY I need help. Drop me a line and suggest some sparkling gems for me to use to get the conversation started so I can have 'em all tucked away in my soggy little brain by the time the big night arrives.

Sacramento Fans Await Big Night
KROY AND TOWER PRODUCTIONS have just completed final arrangements in presenting Herman's Hermits at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium Saturday night October 9.
Preliminary negotiations which started August 14 in San Francisco during the Hermits' concert there, finally have been solidified and the great group from Manchester will make their only West Coast appearance in Sacramento. The Hermits are returning to the States for the purpose of fulfilling a movie contract and originally no concerts were to be scheduled. However, pressure from KROY and Tower Productions Inc. eventually did the job.
SIX-THIRTY will be the time of the first performance - the second to follow at 9:30. All seats are of the reserved variety with prices of $5, $3.50 and $2.50. Tickets are not yet on sale, but will go on sale soon - listen to KROY for complete details of where and when.
THE HERMITS will be joined in their two hour spectacular by The Vejtables, The New Breed, The Inlanders, and another act to be named later. Peter Noone (Herman) has lost his "Personality Tooth," and though this may sadden many fans, the gear sounds for which the group is famous will still be the same. The time of arrival for the group has not yet been set, but KROY will keep you fully informed so those who wish to meet the Manchesterites can do so.
