Herman is everyone's favorite, but who are Herman's favorites? Keith Altham, FLIP's London Editor, managed to get him to stand still long enough to reveal his personal list of All Time Raves. (Bet some of his answers will surprise you!)

ARETHA FRANKLIN: "She still is not as heavily established here as I would like but I've bought a lot of her albums and to me she is just great."
JACK JONES: "He has such a good voice. I like to listen to his moody ballads late at night. One day he, too, will be very big in England."
BILLY COTTON: "Dear old Bill who has been broadcasting now with the BBC and his band for yonks. To big band pop music he's like Louis Armstrong to jazz. I love him."
BEATLES: "Does anyone really need a reason?"

ANTHONY NEWLEY: "He's so full of talent in so many fields it's almost unfair. If I could follow in anyone's footsteps it would be his."
KEN DODD: "A comedian and a great singer. He shocked all the pop pundits by having a number one corny ballad - 'Tears' - at a time when everyone thought there was nothing but the beat scene. Great."
JOHNNY CASH: "I like most of his records, but especially his version of 'It Ain't Me Babe.'"
LITTLE RICHARD: "While they are bringing back rock and roll they must bring back this man - the greatest rocker of them all."
LITTLE ANTHONY AND THE IMPERIALS: "I toured with them once in America and they were one of the best beat and harmony outfits I've ever heard. Nice blokes who make nice records."
