PETER NOONE ON GIRLS     Peter (Herman) Noone has his pick of girls - both here in America and in Europe. Getting to know a lot of different kinds of girls has given him a definite advantage. He knows what he likes!     "One thing all my dates must have," Herman said, "is a sense of humor. I'd hate to have to be serious all evening. It can be dull and boring. After all, it's hard enough for me to feel romantic with a girl. A really serious date with no laughs is deadly!"     It's hard for Herman to be romantic? That was too impossible to believe!     "Look at it this way," Herman explained. "I go out with a girl and I like her. Then what? I always have to leave right away. What's the sense of getting romantic? It makes it so much harder later."     Did that always happen to Herman? Was he always hurt by girls?     "Remember a few years back . . . all the talk about Lulu and me?" Herman confided. "Well, she's a great girl - very bright and quick. But, let's face it, that romance really never had a chance. Our work schedules were constantly conflicting. If Lulu was working in England, I was in America and vice-versa."     Has that kind of situation "soured" Herman on girls?     "I love girls," Herman said, grinning from ear to ear. "The more I see of them, the better I like them. If they're fun to be with, they're for me!"     Herman's particular about the way a girl dresses, though. (He's one of the spiffiest dressers around, as you must have noticed.)     "My date doesn't necessarily have to be a fashion plate - but it's important that she's neatly dressed and well put together," Herman said emphatically. "Slobs are just that - slobs!"     We were curious to know how Herm felt about his fans and if he'd ever dated one of them.     Herman looked thoughtful before he answered. "I love my fans. They've given me everything I have. As for dates, well . . . I wouldn't date a girl just because she was a fan. And in the same respect, I wouldn't refuse to date a girl just because she was a fan. Fan or not, she'd have to be someone I liked well enough to want to spend an evening or a day with."     Anyone care to apply?
